A little about us
COMPANY OVERVIEW
SME4SPACE is a not-for-profit organisation located in Leuven, Belgium.
Our overarching goal is to voice the interests and viewpoints of SMEs in the European space sector in a structured and united way, and to facilitate their access to public and private space activities We make this happen through:
- Organising a large network of SMEs,
- Focussing on cooperation, collaboration and access to programs,
- Defining common positions and viewpoints of the SMEcommunityand defending these towards public authorities (such as ESA and the EU),
- Organising seminars and information sessions,
- Carrying out research projects at different levels for space and its related activities

SME4SPACE LAUNCH
SME4SPACE was launched in June 2007 as an informal group after the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement between the ESA Director General and SME4SPACE Chairman.
SME4SPACE INCORPORATION
On 1st July 2011, SME4SPACE becomes a not-for-profit organisation under the Belgian law.
THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION RECOGNITION
The European Commission recognizes SME4SPACE as a valued and reliable partner for the SME community and to represent their viewpoint.
10th YEAR ANNIVERSARY
SME4SPACE celebrates its 10th anniversary. A successful decade of cooperation and support for SMEs in the space sector with many more to follow.
NEW MOA WITH ESA
SME4SPACE signs a Memorandum of Understanding with ESA to strengthen their relationship and support the SME industrial policy.
MOA EXTENDED
The MOA with ESA is extended for another three years.
NOW
The SME4SPACE team continues to grow, as does its network. We continue to be committed to supporting the SMEs and start-ups in the European space industry.
